HUMSOC
At the Oxford University Hindu Society, we understand the importance of exploring and celebrating this ancient culture in a dynamic, fun way. Our cultural events are designed to provide a unique and interactive experience that immerses our members in the rich and diverse traditions of Hinduism.
Through our academic events, we explore various aspects of Hinduism, including its history, philosophy, art, and literature. We invite scholars and experts to deliver talks, host workshops, and lead discussions on topics ranging from Vedic scriptures to classical dance forms.
We also organize fun and interactive events that celebrate various festivals and cultural practices. We celebrate festivals such as Navratri, Raksha Bandhan, and Janmashtami with enthusiasm and joy. Our events feature traditional music and dance performances, delicious food, and interactive activities such as dandiya and garba. These events provide an opportunity for our members to not only celebrate our culture but also connect with each other and create lasting memories.
HUMSOC is committed to exploring and celebrating Hinduism in a dynamic, fun way. Through our academic and cultural events, we hope to educate and inspire our members while fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.

About HumSoc
The Oxford University Hindu Society is a vibrant and welcoming community of students who are passionate about Hinduism and its rich cultural heritage. Established in 2000, our society is a place where students of all backgrounds can come together to learn, share, and explore their Hindu identities. Our primary goal is to create a supportive and nurturing space for our members to practice their faith through a variety of religious and spiritual events, including Aarti sessions, Diwali and Holi celebrations, and yoga classes.
In addition to our religious and spiritual events, we also offer a range of academic and cultural events that educate our members about Hinduism and its cultural significance. These events include workshops, talks, and discussions on topics such as Vedic scriptures, classical dance forms, and traditional Indian cooking. We believe that these events not only help our members deepen their understanding of Hinduism but also foster a sense of community and connection with others who share their interests. Whether you are a Hindu or simply interested in learning more about Hinduism, we invite you to join us and be a part of our vibrant and welcoming community.
